How to Change a Roomba Battery
Replacing a Roomba battery is quick and easy:
- Remove the vacuum cleaner from its base.
- Loosen the side brush screw using a flathead screwdriver or coin, then remove the side brush.
- Loosen the 5 screws holding the bottom cover using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Unclip the original battery and remove it from the robot.
- Insert the replacement battery into its slot. The battery tab will hold it in place.
- Replace the bottom cover on the robot and tighten the 5 screws.
- Install the side brush, then tighten its screw.
- Place the vacuum cleaner back on its charging base to recharge the new battery.
